Watercolour Award in Jackson’s Art Prize 2026

Artwork “Echoes of Yesterday” has been awarded the Watercolour Award at the Jackson’s Art Prize 2026, United Kingdom. It progressed through several rounds of judging, placing in the top 0.19% among 16,280 entries.

Here’s what the judges said about the work:

“Kah Wah Chong has produced an innovative watercolour that is as rich and textured as an oil painting. With its high horizon line, Echoes of Yesterday draws the viewer into a beautifully rendered, lush foreground before leading the eye toward a run-down dwelling, where an implied human presence is suggested by a lone chair.”
